Cover Supervisor & Games Coach job summary

The role

  • 8:25am - 3:15pm Monday-Friday, term-time only
  • Cover lessons during short-term staff absence
  • Supervise the class while they complete tasks set by the teacher
  • Assist in the teaching of Games and extra-curricular sports programmes
  • Help with other administrative or support staff tasks, as directed by the Cover Manager
  • Discharge a duty of care to all students in the school.

The ideal candidate

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
  • Experience in one of our major sports: rugby, hockey or cricket
  • A commitment to extra-curricular, mid-week and Saturday fixtures is essential
  • An enthusiastic and organised individual with an ability to command respect from students
  • Experience working with students with a range of abilities is desirable but not essential.
