Cover Supervisor job summary
Are you interested in joining an SEMH school which is part of Maiden Erlegh Trust? Hamilton School is currently seeking a cover supervisor for a permanent position starting in September 2025. The role is for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into lessons across a range of subjects when teaching staff are absent, ensuring consistency and structure for students. You will help maintain a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment, while building strong, respectful relationships with students. Working closely with teaching staff and support teams, you will play a crucial role in helping students stay engaged with learning and feel supported throughout the school day.

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or SEN environment

Confident in managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries

Able to build rapport with young people who may present with challenging behaviours
