We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our team here at Kings Priory School. The successful candidate will provide supervision for classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and maintain a productive and respectful learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for education, strong communication skills, and an ability to support students' learning and well-being. You will provide cover to classes across our first, middle and senior school.
You will have some experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting. A teaching assistant qualification or equivalent would be desirable but not essential as you will be given training for the role. Your communication and interpersonal skills will support you in managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere. You’ll be flexible and adaptable as this role will require you to work across a range of subjects and year groups.
The successful candidate will have high expectations of pupils in terms both of their learning and behaviour. Candidates will need to be able to establish productive working relationships with pupils and set very high standards of their own personal behaviour in order to act as effective role models to pupils.
