About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role will involve supporting children across the school, covering lessons and working closely with class teachers and wider school staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and ensure all children are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities

Provide cover for teaching staff, including leading class teaching (under supervision), PPA cover, short-term cover for the absence of other staff.

Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities (including whole-class teaching) under an agreed system of supervision.

Assess and report on pupil progress across a range of curriculum areas, using various monitoring and evaluation methods.

Build positive relationships with pupils to support their learning, wellbeing, and personal development.

Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Maintain confidentiality, uphold safeguarding procedures, and model the school’s values in all interactions.

We Are Looking For

A highly skilled and confident practitioner, ideally HLTA-qualified or working towards HLTA status.

Someone with experience delivering whole-class teaching under supervision, including for PPA and short-term cover.

A professional who can plan, assess, and provide feedback to support pupil progress across the curriculum.

A positive role model with the ability to lead, mentor, and support other support staff.

A strong communicator who collaborates effectively with teaching teams, parents, and external professionals.

A committed, resilient individual who values inclusion, upholds safeguarding duties, and contributes to the wider school life.
