We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work under the guidance of the Assistant Vice Principal to supervise classes during the absence of teachers. We operate a silent cover policy here at Marine Academy and expect the behaviour of students in cover lessons to match that of those taught by their specialist teachers; you will not be required to deliver complex cover work; we keep things simple so that consistency in every lesson can be achieved. You will be joining a small team of two other cover supervisors working within the Academy.

Our cover lessons are highly prescribed with children, working in silence on high quality pre-set work. The expectations of these lessons are the same as any other and you will be supported to ensure that attitude and behaviour in these sessions is of the same high standard as it is in the rest of the school.
