Cover Supervisor job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team as soon as possible to:
· Teach classes when teachers are engaged in planning, preparation and assessment sessions.
· supervise classes during short term absence of the assigned teacher.

The post will suit a reliable individual with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills The Senior Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of the absence (planned or unplanned) of the class teacher and will ensure that pupils are engaged in pre-set work, managing pupil behaviour and ensuring a safe environment. If a Senior Cover Supervisor is not required to cover staff absence, they will be deployed to provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and pupils who are identified as Pupil Premium.

The successful candidate will need to manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they complete the work set by teachers.

The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are essential.

24 hours per week over 4 days
