</u></b></p><p>Oasis Academy Brislington is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools into community hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.
</p><p>This is an exciting time to join us at Oasis Brislington. We are a large and oversubscribed secondary academy with 1,400 students on roll. The academy was inspected by OFSTED in October 2021 and was categorised as a ‘Good’ school by the inspection team.

</u></b></p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to support the running of our Academy to create a structured environment for pupils to complete pre-prepared curriculum activities in the absence of their teacher. The main focus of the role is supervising classes/groups of students to ensure that they carry out the work set by their teacher to ensure continuity of learning.
</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a supportive school environment as part of their career development and offers invaluable experience.
</p><p><i><b>Please note that a teaching qualification is not required for this role.
</b></i></p><p>You should enjoy working with young people and be able to establish positive working relationships; setting and upholding high expectations for learning and behaviour. Cover supervisors use the same systems as teaching colleagues to ensure positive learning behaviour in lessons and constructive, calm learning environments.
</p><p>New cover supervisors are supported by our established teaching staff and are given the opportunity to spend time observing colleagues in the classroom. Time is also dedicated to developing the key skills required for delivering cover lessons, including: managing a classroom, opening and closing lessons and behaviour management.
</p><p>In addition to the above, cover supervisors also support other areas of the school as appropriate and where capacity permits.
