We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and flexible Cover Supervisor to facilitate students’ learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 during the short-term absence of teachers. You will be required to:
• supervise whole classes to assist pupils in undertaking pre-planned learning activities.
• to provide cover supervision in the classroom to support for teachers, exam invigilation
• undertake some administrative duties.
Proven experience of working with young people in a learning environment is essential, as is Level 2 Numeracy/Literacy skills and NVQ 3 for TAs, or equivalent qualification.

Full time and part-time hours will be considered and we may be able to offer some teaching in addition to the Cover Supervisor role for applicants with suitable qualifications.

Essential educational requirements
Minimum of 5 GCSE Grade A*-C, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualification
Excellent IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft software packages

Proven experience of working in an educational environment or with young people.
Ability to provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with young people and colleagues.

The ability to work within College policies, procedures and expectations.
The ability to prioritise workloads and to work to given deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Confident verbal communicator with the skills to communicate with students of all ages and abilities in order to improve their learning and achievement.
