Cover Supervisor job summary
At Perins we have a team of Cover Supervisors that are employed to supervise classes during the short-term absence of a teacher. The work you will be supervising is set in advance by the class teacher and you will be responsible for ensuring the work is completed, ensuring the students are on task, and answering any questions that they may have. You will be a confident individual who is able to manage the behaviour and work of various classes of varying ages between 11 -16.
You will act as a role model and establish positive relationships with students, promoting positive behaviour and dealing promptly with any conflict or incidents, in line with our behaviour policy.
The role is graded at Support Grade C. However, for candidates who can demonstrate significant student facing / classroom experience we would consider paying up to point 4 on the UQT payscale.
