What skills and experience we're looking for
For September 2026, we are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who can oversee classes when teachers are absent, ensuring that learning in the classroom is maximised. The position would be suitable for someone who has had experience working in schools or an individual who is aspiring to enter the teaching profession, who is looking to develop further in a highly supportive school. The successful candidate will facilitate the planned lessons and work with Heads of Department to modify the work set where necessary, ensuring that positive behaviour is maintained in the classroom. In addition to supervising students, the successful candidate will support teachers and subject areas by carrying out administrative duties, such as photocopying, producing resources, communicating with parents and maintaining student information databases. Training will be given in the school’s specific IT software, but the successful candidate will need to be able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint confidently, competently and accurately.
