Cover Supervisor job summary

Cover Supervisor – At Red Hill Field

Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Monday-Friday - 8:30am-3:30pm (32.5 hours per week)

To ensure that every child in our care receives the best support, we are looking to recruit an exceptional Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team.

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth running of our classrooms during teacher absences. Your responsibility will be to supervise students, uphold a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes during planned or unplanned teacher absence including PPA cover

  • Managing student behaviour and promoting positive conduct

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to ensure continued learning

  • Supporting staff by providing feedback on student engagement and behaviour

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence in managing groups of children in a calm, professional manner

  • Reliability and commitment to upholding our school’s values and standards

  • Experience working with children or in an educational environment is desirable

  • Flexibility to cover a variety of year groups and subjects
