What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Recent experience in employment or leisure pursuits indicating successful relationships with children and young people in the age range 11-18.
  • Understanding the issues related to the motivation of young people.
  • Excellent ICT skills.
  • Experience of administrative work in a school/college environment.
  • Experience of data and information systems.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues within a school environment.
  • Experience of a range of strategies to deal with classroom behaviour.
  • Good communication skills, confident and motivational.
  • Good oral and written skills.
  • Good sense of humour, resilient and flexible.
  • Can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Tactful and discreet and upholds and promotes the positive image of the schools at all times.
  • Ability to work within school policies, procedures and ethos.
  • Enjoys working with young people.
  • Good organisational skills and administrative skills.
