Vacancy for Cover Supervisors
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 6, Points 7-12 of the Meridian Trust Support pay scale. Actual Salary £17,974 - £19,548
Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.00, 38 weeks per year
We are now looking to appoint Cover Supervisors within our Support Team who share our core values which are set out clearly in the job description. This post will be a wonderfully rewarding experience for the successful candidates as they will be joining a supportive team which is well resourced and part of our wider Meridian Trust family.
The opportunity
- A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team providing high-quality cover during the short-term absence class teachers, actively engaging with the class, to contribute to raising standards
- Opportunity to work across all departments and roles of the Academy
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of work set for covering lesson
- Provide valuable feedback on learning activities and contribute towards development planning
The ideal candidate
- Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of subject background and working within the education sector
- Knowledge of using different IT software such as Microsoft Office, Email
- interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents and outside agencies.
- Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
- Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
- Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
