What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you able to turn any classroom into a high-energy learning environment at a moment's notice? If so, you will be interested in the Cover Teacher opportunity that we currently have available at Horbury Academy.
The Academy needs a dedicated individual with a passion for Education, to provide cover for classes in the absence of teachers as and when required across the whole curriculum. Candidates will be able to teach with confidence, creating an enriching and orderly environment in which pupils can learn. Successful candidates will also be required to utilise specialist skills for classroom activities, to enhance the learning and progress of pupils in subject areas.
The successful candidate will be qualified to a degree level in a subject area of relevance to the curriculum at the Academy.
The position is on a full-time basis working Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.15pm.

Horbury Academy is a mixed, 11-16 academy, situated on the outskirts of Wakefield.
