Consett Academy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Cover Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated, and providing a high standard of classroom management. Your ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students and encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning will be key to your success in this position. As a Cover Teacher, you will also be expected to monitor and assess student progress, collect completed work, and maintain a positive learning environment.

We are seeking someone who has recent classroom experience and holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent qualification. A strong understanding of behaviour management and the ability to respond to feedback and develop your professional practice is essential. You will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
