Cover Teacher Including 0.3 Teaching of PE (Girls)

Full Time, Fixed Term Contract:
1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020
Salary: £21,210 per annum

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and passionate teacher to cover lessons across the Academy, and join our successful PE department, teaching girls’ PE on a 0.3 FTE basis. The position includes taking a full role in the extensive extra-curricular programme we provide for our students. The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge in PE, and be adaptable to teach lessons as directed and planned by class teachers in all subject areas. If the successful candidate is a newly qualified teacher, we will provide a full NQT support package.

Essential educational requirements

Good Honours Degree in PE or related subjects

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher status. PGCE or equivalent

Essential skills and experience

Commitment to facilitate a range of extracurricular provision

Ability to enthuse children, create a love of learning and thirst for knowledge across all subjects

Excellent ICT skills

High level of oral and written communication skills

An ability to work in partnership with teachers and other staff

To believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach, and be able to build supportive working relationships with colleagues both within and outside the Learning Team
