Curriculum Admin/Resources Assistant with First aid job summary
King James is a new dynamic through school born out of a merger between two middle schools and an upper school. We educate pupils from Years 5 to 11 and believe that every individual in our community is important and needs to achieve their full potential.
We are looking to appoint a professional, approachable and welcoming Curriculum and Administration Assistant + First Aid to join King James Academy Royston. The person appointed will support the School Administrator at the busiest time of the day, welcoming visitors and parents, dealing with minor queries and answering the telephone. The role will also include delivering messages and goods to the classrooms as needed. Further details are available upon request.
The successful candidates will ensure the provision of effective administration and clerical support within the school. As part of a small team of reception/administrative staff you will work in a dynamic environment providing excellent customer service for staff, pupils, parents and visitors.
The school office is our communications hub and is the key position as first point of contact for callers and visitors to the school, therefore the post holders will be part of the team presenting a friendly, professional, effective and efficient corporate image at all times and be able to deal skilfully, calmly and assertively with any situation. You need to have excellent communication skills and be well organised.
Experience of computerised management of information systems would be preferred, as the post holder would need to adapt to the systems used within the Trust in order to support the efficient running of the school within the defined areas. Some knowledge of statutory requirements for schools would also be beneficial. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
We are dedicated to high quality professional development and there are opportunities for further progression within the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust.
