What the school offers its staff

Transforming Futures Trust works with children for whom mainstream education is not right: young people with behavioural challenges; children with mental health concerns; students who find the traditional setting of a school intimidating. It is not an exaggeration to say that we change these young people’s lives.  Our extraordinary staff can connect with these children and apply the principles of trauma informed care to enable them to reach their potential.

Further details about the role

We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, organised, enthusiastic teacher of Technology to join our school family. This role will focus on the teaching of Technology – either Design or Food and also co-ordinate curriculum delivery and student progress across Art and Technology. Benefiting from purpose designed, newly installed resources including a practical workshop, food technology kitchen and separate theory classrooms, Technology and Art plays an important role in our curriculum. We want to do better for our students however, ensuring they have access to a full range of qualifications that celebrate the importance of the knowledge and skills in these subject areas. Are you the subject specialist we are looking for to take our Technology and Art team further?

You will co-ordinate a team of two teaching staff and three Teaching Assistants and develop the curriculum and qualification offer. We are looking for the right person to take our school community forward in Technology and Art – we know they can be a life improving subjects so if you have the energy, drive and enthusiasm and want to work with an amazing team of staff and students – we would love to hear from you. We offer you a warm, welcoming, and friendly school family who places the needs of each student at the heart of all we do.
