What skills and experience we're looking for

Required for 1stSeptember 2026, an outstanding qualified teacher of Business and Economics to lead this strong department.

Business and Economics results are excellent, with ALPs scores which indicate added value being consistently amongst the best in the school for both subjects. The department is also one of the most popular in the Sixth Form for students making their A level choices, with over 100 students currently studying these subjects across Years 12 and 13.

If you have experience of teaching both subjects to GCSE and A level and you are an excellent teacher, ambitious to develop your career in an energetic and highly professional environment, we would welcome an application from you.

Potential candidates may wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

What the school offers its staff

Our school has an excellent reputation at local and national level. The last inspection by Ofsted in 2024 judged us to be outstanding in all areas. This was our fifth outstanding report and, whilst we are very proud of this achievement, we are in no way complacent. In addition to excellence in terms of academic outcomes, our purpose is to provide a supportive, stimulating and secure environment in which young people can thrive. As such, we seek to employ inspirational and energetic staff, committed to the school’s ethos. In return, we aim to provide opportunities for continuing professional growth and development for all staff, beginning with a well-established induction.
