What skills and experience we're looking for
Harrow Way Community School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Curriculum Leader of Computing and IT to teach and lead classes across Key Stages 3, and 4.
We are looking for an outstanding, ambitious teacher who wants to further their career. Candidates will have the drive and motivation to improve the department continually. At Harrow Way, we aim to offer students an exciting curriculum and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities within a safe, secure and encouraging environment.
This is an important middle leadership role with the responsibility to work with the members of the department to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning. We have CAS Lead School status in the Network of Excellence in Computer Science and KS4 outcomes are very strong.
You will need to:
- Be ambitious in your determination to ensure all our learners achieve and develop their full potential
- Be inspirational in the classroom
- Be able to provide engaging and creative learning experiences for all pupils
- Have high expectations and a commitment to the wider school.
As STEM Coordinator, the successful applicant will be responsible for raising the profile of STEM across the school. In doing so, they will liaise with relevant curriculum leaders to plan and deliver whole-school cross-curricular STEM initiatives.
