What skills and experience we're looking for

Required for September 2023, we are looking for a full-time, committed and enthusiastic person to lead our excellent mathematics department in our school.

If you have experience of teaching mathematics to GCSE and A level; if you are an excellent leader ambitious to develop your career in an energetic and highly professional environment, we would welcome an application from you.

Potential candidates may wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

What the school offers its staff

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

If you have experience of teaching mathematics to GCSE and A level; if you are an excellent leader ambitious to develop your career in an energetic and highly professional environment, we would welcome an application from you.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
medical
online and social media
prohibition from teaching
right to work
satisfactory references
suitability to work with children

You must tell us about any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
