What skills and experience we're looking for

We seek to appoint an outstanding and experienced teacher who will relish leading the Computing department.

As Curriculum Leader of IT and Computing, you will lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum which enables students to develop their creative, practical and technical skills and achieve the highest level of student progress and attainment. You will lead to ensure high attainment of the Computing department.

If you have the following knowledge, skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

  • a passion for teaching Computing with a confident and creative approach getting the best out of students
  • experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
  • experience of leading a team and/or developing others
  • experience of improving the quality of teaching and learning through the development of schemes of work and high-quality resources
  • excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent

You will have a genuine passion for and a belief in the potential of every student and a deep commitment to St Cuthbert’s vision and mission of providing an excellent education to every student, regardless of background together with a commitment to regular and on-going professional development and training to establish outstanding classroom practice
