Curriculum Leader - Maths UPS & TLR job summary

We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Curriculum Leader for Mathematics to join our dedicated team at Noel Baker Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated teacher to lead the Maths department, shape curriculum delivery, and inspire a love of mathematics across the school.


About the role

As Curriculum Leader, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and progress.
  • Design and deliver a curriculum that is ambitious, engaging, and inclusive, preparing students for success in examinations and beyond.
  • Lead and support colleagues in developing excellent classroom practice, with a strong focus on raising achievement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives and play an active role in the wider school community.


About you

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a track record of excellent outcomes in Mathematics.
  • Has the vision, creativity, and determination to lead a successful department.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire colleagues and students alike.
  • Is committed to fostering a culture of high expectations, achievement, and aspiration.
  • Holds QTS and has experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
