The job role consists of:
Responsibility for teaching in assigned curriculum areas
Raising standards and promoting the vision, ethos, culture and policies of the school and department.
Supporting the clear, cohesive leadership and direction in learning and teaching in the faculty area
Ensuring that high standards of discipline and respect are evident throughout the faculty, supporting colleagues in line with school policies and practice
Playing an active part in the monitoring of pupils’ behaviour for learning, alongside the Head of Faculty
Supporting the leadership and teaching and learning across the faculty
Demonstrating accountability through regular meetings with the Head of Faculty
Demonstrating measurable impact of the work undertaken in the faculty
Helping ensure all pupils, across all key stages engage in learning and maximise their potential
Being involved in enrichment activities such as making a contribution to after-school clubs and visits
Leaders in this school have created a positive and productive teaching and learning environment where staff have creative autonomy and feel well-supported. The whole community is involved in all aspects of school life and the school has excellent relationships with parents and carers.
