Are you an inspiring Music Teacher ready to lead, shape and elevate a vibrant curriculum?
Following an internal promotion, we are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for a Curriculum Leader for Music to join our team at The Portsmouth Academy from September 2026. We will consider applications for0.6 - 1.0 FTE and the ability to offer a second subject is desirable.
As Curriculum Leader for Music, you will provide strategic leadership for the subject across Key Stages 3 and 4, shaping and delivering an engaging and inclusive curriculum that secures strong outcomes for all students. You will drive high standards of teaching and learning and assessment, monitor pupil progress carefully and implement targeted intervention where needed.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Plan, implement, and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for KS3 & KS4 students
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students
- Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
- Contribute to raising standards of student progress and attainment
- Integrate the Thinking Schools ethos into all aspects of school life to develop students as thinkers, enabling them to achieve success and be their best selves
