Noel-Baker Academy is seeking an ambitious, values-driven Curriculum Leader for English. This is a rare opportunity to shape a core subject while influencing teaching and learning across the entire academy.
About the Role
As Curriculum Leader for English, you will:
- Lead the strategic development of an ambitious, well-sequenced English curriculum
- Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages
- Use data intelligently to drive improvement, close gaps and raise outcomes
- Model excellent practice and develop staff through coaching, CPD and professional dialogue
- Oversee targeted interventions, ensuring disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND make strong progress

We are seeking a leader who:
- Has a strong track record of improving English outcomes in a secondary setting
- Understands high-quality curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment
- Can articulate and model excellent English teaching
- Is confident leading Literacy beyond their subject area
- Uses data and evaluation intelligently to inform improvement
- Can inspire, support and hold colleagues to account
- Is committed to inclusion, high expectations and continuous improvement
