The Chalk Hills Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Leader of Business to lead and manage staff to construct and deliver an ambitious curriculum that supports all students to achieve exceptional outcomes. Key Duties

  • To play an active role in curriculum planning and delivery
  • Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students across Business
  • Have responsibility for the pastoral care of an identified tutor group.
  • Promote the educational success and outstanding outcomes of all our students through strong leadership
  • Implement school policies and procedures as appropriate in day-to-day activities.

The successful candidate will

  • Teacher of Business who can teach at both KS4 KS5 and overview of curriculum
  • Have experience of planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for identified groups of students at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Have experience of Edexcel specification - desirable but not essential
  • Be an experienced leader who can manage staff and support colleagues to achieve targets set.
  • Ensure student achievement is at least in line with expectations.
  • Be accountable for progress and achievement of students.
  • Have experience of a large multicultural school
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Have excellent communication skills and enthuse staff and implement ideas
