About the role

We are looking for a professional and dynamic teacher to lead our highly successful DTFA Department. We encourage applicants from all subject areas within the discipline.

The ideal candidate will have experience across of a range of disciplines from Food to Art and Technology and a passion to teach in a top performing school. Art/Textiles is an area we would like to develop further. The individual should have high expectations of achievement, outstanding classroom practice and the ability to instil a passion for their subject in others. Applications are welcome from candidates with highly effective interpersonal skills, energy and enthusiasm and the ability to lead a team and to develop the Department further.

We are a school that is committed to a 1-2-1 iPad scheme. This has launched this year for KS3 and next year, will extend into KS4. This enhances learning hugely in the DTFA department. It has been well received by students and staff alike. Full training will be given to the successful candidate using both internal and external experts, including our own Apple Learning Coach.

As a school, we will support your own professional learning and development. Each member of teaching staff is allocated an instructional coach who will work with them to develop their practice.
