What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- have a commitment to our school Values

- passionately enthuse and motivate students
- have QTS and a degree or a similar related Health and Social Care related qualification
- possess recent experience of teaching Health and Social Care or a closely related subject to students in KS4-KS5
- maintain and developing high standards of achievement for learners of all abilities across all Key Stages
- be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
- have a commitment to safeguarding children
- be an expert practitioner in the classroom
- have up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum for Health and Social Care
- demonstrate experience of teaching vocational qualifications most preferably BTEC Health and Social Care at Level 2 and 3
- demonstrate the competence to lead a forward looking, hardworking and enthusiastic team of staff with the desire and skills to improve outcomes
- think strategically to inspire and promote high expectations to raise standards
- committed to promoting extra-curricular trips and activities
