What skills and experience we're looking for
If you are a dynamic teacher of science and would like to lead an ambitious department in an ‘outstanding’ school then we would welcome your interest and application. This role is suitable for existing or aspiring Curriculum Leaders.
The department consistently achieves very high standards in all Key Stages with excellent value-added results. There is very good provision Post-16 and many students progress to STEM-related courses at university in areas such as engineering and health.
Potential candidates may wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
If you have experience of teaching Science to GCSE and A level; if you are an excellent teacher ambitious to develop your career in an energetic and highly professional environment, we would welcome an application from you. Applications will be considered from candidates offering all subject specialisms at GCSE and A Level (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
What the school offers its staff
Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.
