Data & Admin Assistant job summary

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 4 days

Working Time: 36.5 hours per week. Term time only 4 days (4 days to be worked over GCSE/A-Level results days). Flexibility to attend any other meetings/events outside normal working hours when required.

We are looking to recruit a Data & Admin Assistant to join our team at Moseley. This role is open to a candidate who has the passion and enthusiasm to make a positive impact on the examinations process a whole for the young people at our school. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team.

Our perfect candidate will:

  • Be able to work under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines and priorities
  • Be able to establish and develop outstanding relationships with students and staff.
  • Ideally have experience of working in education setting ideally a secondary school
  • Contribute to our core vision and values.

Core Purpose:

  • To assist in maintaining of the school database system/s for information relating to students.
  • To assist in the smooth and efficient running of the examinations.

To support the support services team at peak times.

Responsibilities:

Census

  • Assist with the completion of the school census returns by liaising with key stake holders (eg. SEN Co-ordinator, Admissions Officer, EAL Co-ordinator) to resolve errors, under the direction of the Academic Support Manager.

Data

  • Maintaining data in the School Management Information System (MIS) by creating and editing marksheets.
  • Check assessment data is completed and ready for analysis as part of our data collection cycle. Liaising with staff as needed to ensure completion by the dates required.
  • Exporting data from the MIS and import into analysis systems.
  • Production and printing of student reports to parents.

Systems

  • Set up new users on SIMS.
  • Support parents in accessing Edulink and to resolve any access issues parents have.
  • Using third party systems such as FFT, Pupil Progress, SISRA and DfE website for pupil data.
  • Manage the learner records service for Moseley School ensuring all students are registered and have a Unique Learner Number assigned.

Exams

  • During the exams season (Internal and external) support the Exams Coordinator with the smooth running of the examinations.
  • Support the Exams Coordinator during results/download days.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support with administrative tasks during the schools parents evening.
  • Support with reprographics at peak times.
  • Ability to be a school First Aider.
  • Support the support services team at peak times.
  • To undertake any other duties not detailed above commensurate with the level of the post.
