Who we’re looking for

An exciting opportunity has opened to join the Data Team at Star Academies. The team is dedicated to harnessing the power of data and intelligence to drive informed decision-making across the Trust. We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and help us expand and enhance our contributions to the Trust.

As a Data Engineer, you will lead the implementation and delivery of a data warehousing solution for the Trust. As Star Academies continues to grow, so does the demand for efficient data management. You will play a key role in modernising how we manage data by leveraging Microsoft Azure and its associated technologies.

This role is integral to our digital transformation strategy, aimed at revolutionising how we interact with data and systems to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the Data Team at Star Academies, as our family of schools continues to grow rapidly. You would become a part of one of the highest-performing multi-academy trusts in the country, serving over 25,000 pupils across more than 35 schools. You will have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform and related technologies.
  • Experience of working to implement data warehousing solutions and ETL architecture.
  • Experience of working on IT and transformative projects within a large organisation.
  • A strong commitment to teamwork and ensuring sustainable, transformative work.
