Data, Exams and MIS Officer job summary
As Data, Exams and MIS Officer at Edgar Wood Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting student success through the effective management of examinations, pupil data, and our school information systems. You will act as the named Exams Officer, overseeing all aspects of internal and external exams in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations. Alongside this, you will maintain accurate and meaningful student data, supporting leaders and teachers to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that maximise achievement.
This is a varied role requiring a high level of accuracy, organisation, and resilience during peak exam periods. You will work closely with curriculum leaders, the SENDCo, and senior staff to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently, as well as providing clear reports for staff, parents, and external bodies. With responsibility for safeguarding the integrity of exams and the secure handling of sensitive information, you will also ensure full compliance with GDPR and statutory requirements.
Above all, this role is about making a positive difference - helping every student at Edgar Wood Academy to flourish by ensuring the systems behind their education are reliable, efficient, and supportive of their success.
