We are seeking to appoint an adaptable and organised Departmental Admin Assistant to join our school team. This is a dual-purpose role combining classroom supervision and administrative support within a designated department.

You will play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning by supervising pupils during short-term teacher absence, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Alongside this, you’ll provide vital administrative support to your department, contributing to its smooth and efficient running.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pupils and deliver lessons as set by teaching staff.

  • Maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere, supporting positive behaviour and engagement.

  • Respond to pupil questions regarding set tasks, processes, or expectations.

  • Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate staff member.

  • Record and report pupil behaviour and engagement in line with school procedures.

  • Complete administrative tasks as directed within the department.

  • Carry out basic first aid and personal care duties when necessary.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is calm, confident, and able to manage whole-class supervision effectively (training provided).

  • Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Can work both independently and collaboratively within a busy team.

  • Is reliable, professional, and committed to supporting student learning.

  • Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is keen to make a meaningful contribution to the daily life of the school. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

Join our team and help make a difference every day!
