Job description

Lead and monitor the curriculum development of English in a particular key stage. Support the Curriculum Leader with a focus on continuing to raise standards and further developing the quality of teaching and learning within the department.

Degree in English

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

At least 2 years teaching experience.
Knowledge and understanding of strategies to improve student progress and performance, including high standards in behaviour for learning. An understanding of the requirements of the current Ofsted framework and experience of leading curriculum development with clear evidence of positive impact on raising standards and realising high expectations. A high level of data management, analysis and target setting skills and excellent communication skills.
