What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint either an experienced or emerging leader who is also an excellent Science Teacher to join us from 1 January 2025. Biology or Chemistry specialism is preferable. The successful candidate will be required to teach across the full ability range including KS3, KS4 and their subject specialism at KS5.
The exact responsibilities of the TLR post are negotiable but will certainly include a significant role in ensuring the most impactful teaching and learning across the faculty.

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
