The Eastbourne Academy has an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational classroom teacher, who is already, or has the potential to be an outstanding practitioner.
The successful candidate will be required to assist leading the department through the planning and delivery of engaging lessons to a range of abilities and to ensure Science becomes a leading subject.
The post holder of Deputy Curriculum Leader of Science (KS3) will either be an experienced leader or will have the drive and determination to develop the skills to succeed in this role.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified teachers who:
- Can provide outstanding quality learning and teaching in the department, modelling excellence in the classroom, evaluating the quality of teaching and standards of students’ achievement, and setting targets for improvement.
- Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of Science and the exam specifications to provide professional leadership and management for Science to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievements for all students.
- Have the vision and enthusiasm required to impact on the continuous process of raising attainment in the department.
- Have a belief in the value and talents of all students.
- Have a passion for Science.
- Are newly qualified or experienced.
- Can demonstrate creativity and flair in the classroom.
- Can enthuse and motivate students.
