Deputy Curriculum Leader: Second in Maths
Thank you for your interest in the vacancy for Second in Subject for Maths at Greyfriars Catholic School, part of The Pope Francis Multi Academy Company (PFMAC) and Archdiocese of Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and innovative leader to join our dynamic Maths team as Second in Department at Greyfriars Catholic School. This role has become available due to the relocation of the current post holder.
We are seeking an inspirational individual with a passion for Maths and a track record of excellence in the classroom, who is eager to develop their leadership skills and make a lasting impact on student outcomes. You will work closely with the Subject Leader to help drive the continued success and improvement of Maths across the school.
This is a particularly exciting time to join Greyfriars. Our school is on a rapid improvement journey, as recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection, which judged us to be Good. We are deeply proud of the progress we have made, and we remain committed to driving standards even higher.
Maths is at the heart of this improvement. We have adopted a Maths Mastery approach, and the impact on student outcomes has been significant over the past few years. Results have improved, and Maths is a popular subject across all year groups, with a high uptake at A Level. We are determined to build on this success and ensure our curriculum is at the forefront of best practice.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of Maths at Greyfriars. There is scope to further refine and embed our mastery approach, enhance the curriculum, and drive even greater success. For those with an interest in computing, there is also the opportunity to support the development of this area.
Our vision at Greyfriars is simple: we are a Catholic School that champions every student so they can flourish individually and collectively. We champion students by teaching them exceptionally well and holding them to the highest standards. We know that working hard and being kind enables students to thrive personally and academically. In this role, you would be their champion.
If you share our vision and are excited by the prospect of joining a thriving Maths department, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch if you would like more information or to arrange a visit. I would be delighted to personally show you around our school and discuss this fantastic role in more detail with some of the maths team.
