About the role:
As the Deputy Curriculum Lead (Science) you will have core responsibilities for the curriculum, teaching and learning and outcomes within the faculty. You will facilitate a robust and ambitious CAM schedule which provides high quality subject specialist CPD and Quality Assure the curriculum, T&L and outcomes within the faculty. You will champion Science and STEM subjects across the Academy. You will play a key role in supporting and developing faculty members in issues of HR and development whilst working with other Senior Leaders to ensure effective implementation across all Key Stages.
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience in middle leadership – pastoral or curriculum
- has passion, drive and ambition for themselves to develop as a leader
- good interpersonal skills and effective team building
- sound knowledge of the curriculum in Science and STEM subjects
- track record of securing positive outcomes and excellent teaching
- willing to undertake additional roles and responsibilities as directed by the curriculum leader and SLT
