Challney High School for Girls is an outstanding, World Class and inclusive school with a vision to develop influential women of the future.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner and experienced Deputy Department Leader who will contribute to the continued improvements in the Maths department and have the ability to work collaboratively within a highly effective team to drive student’s standards. The successful applicant will play a key role in developing and implementing the curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and monitoring student progress to transform students’ outcomes and raise their aspirations. The position is suitable for an exceptional practitioner with an understanding of curriculum sequencing and pedagogy and a proven track record of outcomes.
We are looking to appoint a deputy that has:
An outstanding practitioner with experience in both KS3 and KS4
Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to teach the top end of higher
A proven track record of contributing to results
The ability to think of own initiatives to bring to the HOD in order to further improve outcomes
Strong leadership and presence
Strong knowledge of curriculum sequencing and the 5-year journey of teaching a topic from KS3 to KS4
The ability to inspire and motivate the department
The ability to understand and analyse student data and use this to draw conclusions and actions for next steps
The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as a team.
