Want to join an academy which has a brand new state-of-the-art, Specialist Resource Provision (SRP)?

The Victory Academy are seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead with the safeguarding of students who are on a Child Protection Plan, Early Help Plan, Child in Need Plan or vulnerable students. They will also maintain a register for students who fall into these groups.

The DDSL will triage causes for concern and respond appropriately to ensure that safeguarding practice meets statutory responsibilities. They will help to create training resources for safeguarding to be used by the staff and the students; and to deliver training where appropriate.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children, young people and families, dealing with barriers to education, together with a knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures, child protection issues and of statutory legislation, guidelines and policies on attendance. Working knowledge of school procedures would be desirable.
