Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Family Support job summary
Chiltern Wood School is a Special School currently supporting over 200 students ranging from ages 3 to 19 years. We are currently based on three sites in the High Wycombe area.
Due to nature of our expanding school, we are actively recruiting a Deputy DSLand Family Support to join our team. The Deputy DSL is responsible for providing support for designated safeguarding and to ensure that pupil’s needs in relation to both safeguarding and well being are prioritised and embedded within the school’s strategic planning and day to day operations.
The successful candidate will work with the safeguarding team to ensure that full support is in place to promote the welfare and protection of our pupils and vulnerable families.
In addition, the Deputy DSL will provide through administrative support to the safeguarding team, manage a case load, support and attend meetings, and ensure that all processes followed comply with school policies. The successful candidate will be computer literate with a good understanding of web based packages/systems.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of SEN, having worked within a safeguarding and/or medical remit.
