We are looking to appoint a high-performing Deputy Head of Mathematics who can inspire students, ideally through to A-level, who is committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.

The Mathematics and Computing department is proud of its longstanding reputation for excellence, consistently securing exceptional outcomes at both GCSE and A level. In 2025, 19% of GCSE students achieved a grade 9, with a 91% overall pass rate. This puts Rosebery in the top 1% of the country for progress 8, based on the FFT data point. These figures reflect the high standards, strong subject expertise, and commitment to student success that define the team.

What we are looking for: 

  • A genuine passion for Maths, that inspires curiosity and engagement and a love for the subject. 
  • An experienced colleague who will deliver joyful and challenging Maths lessons to students of all abilities in Key Stage 3, 4 and ideally, Key Stage 5. The ability to teach A level Further Maths would be an advantage. 
  • An excellent practitioner, who is confident, compassionate and dedicated to making a remarkable impact on both students and colleagues.   
  • A role model for outstanding teaching, committed to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning.   
  • Someone with proven communication and interpersonal skills, committed to effective teamwork and collaboration. 
  • An individual who can motivate students and colleagues alike, with a track record of securing excellent student progress.   
  • A genuine passion for student welfare and staff development.
