Inspire the next generation of pioneers at Harris Academy Tottenham. We would like to appoint a dynamic and inspirational experienced qualified teacher to join our academy as Deputy Head of Maths. We are looking for an effective and enthusiastic classroom teacher who will be able to complement our dedicated team of outstanding practitioners. Your opportunity As Deputy Head of Maths, the purpose of your role will be: To deputise for the Head of Maths To be accountable for student progress and development throughout an agreed key stage in maths To assist the Head of Maths to ensure high standards of teaching and learning To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students To ensure that all academy policies and procedures are implemented and applied consistently by all staff in the maths department To assist the Head of Maths to ensure the agreed tutor programme is implemented and that tutors are effective in their role To assist the Head of Maths in effectively and efficiently managing and deploying teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources across the subject area To assist the Head of Maths in leading development for literacy within the mathematics department, to raise standards of literacy across the academy We will make a commitment to providing you with the highest quality CPD, both within the Academy and through the Harris Federation, to ensure that you are always at the forefront of teaching and learning innovation.
