Job summary

The Governors and Principal of Ron Dearing University Technical College (RDUTC) seek a talented Deputy Head of Maths to support the Head of Department to lead the curriculum and teaching and learning in our progressive school. The successful candidate will also teach Maths to GCSE and, if possible, Maths and Further Maths to A Level.

• Maths or related degree

• Qualified Teacher Status

• Evidence of additional training
• Evidence of further relevant study

Essential skills and experience

• Experience of teaching GCSE Maths
• Experience as a Form Tutor
• Knowledge of the KS3 Maths curriculum
• Knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum
• Knowledge of the A Level Maths curriculum
• Knowledge of the A Level Further Maths curriculum
Other Experience
• Experience of teaching Maths to A Level
• Experience of teaching Further Maths to A Level
• Experience of leading an aspect of the Maths Curriculum
• Experience of using ICT to engage students with learning
• Experience of monitoring student progress using SIMs
• Experience of co-ordinating intervention programmes for students at risk of underachievement
