Deputy Head Teacher job summary
We need an energetic, positive and resilient Deputy Head Teacher to join our team as we transform the learning experience of the children attending our school. Here at Brierley Forest Primary & Nursery School the transformation is already underway; we have a fully refurbished and redesigned EYFS unit alongside our new purpose built school and our curriculum is underpinned by a commitment to securing excellent learning behaviours. Learning is further enriched by a range of challenging and exciting activities such as climbing and paddle power but there is more to do.
If you are a confident and skilled practitioner who can quickly build effective relationships with children, including those who sometimes display challenging behaviour and you have an interest in developing your leadership skills, then this could be the ideal post for you to develop your skills and progress your career.
We are looking for someone inspirational who will work with our staff to further improve the provision we have in school through coaching and mentoring, and taking a lead on assessment.
Please include a supporting statement of no more than 1000 words with your application. The statement will demonstrate your track record for supporting children to achieve high academic standards and will evidence your creative and effective approaches to teaching and ideas for improving attendance.
Visits to the school are very welcome and will give you the opportunity to find out about our school and how you could contribute to our future development.
Dates for visits are;
10.9.19 @ 2.00 pm
16.9.19 @ 9.30 am
19.9.19 @ 2.00 pm
Please ring the school to confirm your attendance.
Closing date for applications Friday 20th September 2019 @ 12 noon.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 3rd October 2019.
