To promote the general educational progress and well-being of pupils in the school. To take key responsibility for leading all aspects of the curriculum development, academic standards and progress.
Essential educational requirements
Degree. Recent, relevant in-service training in current educational practice, including leadership and management.
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Experience in the leadership and management of improving pupil outcomes and/or other aspects of provision.
Experience in the leadership and management of strategies that improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, desirable.
Demonstrate a good understanding of School Improvement Planning.
Demonstrate a sound understanding and experience of implementing Performance Management.
Experience of partnership working with parents, the wider community and other schools, desirable.
Successful and varied teaching experience in appropriate phase(s).
