What skills and experience we're looking for
Following the retirement of our previous Deputy Head Teacher, this thriving and creative Primary School are seeking to appoint a strategic and inspirational Deputy Head to join its committed Senior Leadership Team. Working with the staff, governors, children and families, we seek to appoint someone with proven curricular strengths to continue developing our home-grown curriculum. With a finger on the pulse of educational reform, in the world of assessment and teaching practice, we strive to provide the very best for our community.
Taking this role of responsibility will require taking the lead on Safeguarding practises in the school and act as the lead DSL, liaising with staff, parents and outside agencies and ensuring strong relationships with those we serve are maintained.
The promotion of high expectations and aspirations will enable our pupils and staff to ensure progress is made through a supportive, yet challenging environment.
What the school offers its staff
Our innovative curriculum encapsulates our four values of Team Work, Independence, Creativity and Challenge through a range of hands-on learning experiences that are differentiated to meet the needs of our varied community. Through high quality teaching, rigorous monitoring and self-evaluation, we strive to have maximum impact on our learners. If you share our passion for this style of learning and understand the skills required to ensure good progress and attainment, we look forward to meeting you.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school is committed to equal opportunities and safer recruitment practice. Pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any post is confirmed. This post is subject to enhanced disclosure and barring service checks. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
