Castle School is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join the dedicated leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to play a key role in shaping the future of a school that is committed to delivering outstanding education and care for pupils with complex needs.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who shares that belief – someone who will bring compassion, energy and strong leadership to our school community, and who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of our pupils and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching learning environment.
  • Lead and contribute to whole school improvement strategies
  • Support the Headteacher in leading and managing Castle school by providing high quality leadership and management for all staff throughout the whole school.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and enriching learning environment
  • Ensure that practices, policies and procedures are followed and developed, and are effective in meeting the individual needs of the children and young people.
  • Support and develop staff to achieve excellence across all areas
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding
