Deputy Headteacher job summary

As well as providing the school with an excellent teaching practitioner and dynamic Deputy Headteacher, the successful candidate will take a leading role in curriculum enhancement and inclusion.

The successful candidate will:

Have outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate, challenge, inspire and develop colleagues
Be an exciting and innovative classroom practitioner across all age ranges with an enthusiasm for adapting practice effectively in response to changing needs
Have the ability to lead aspects of school improvement and ensure that children are provided with experiences that challenge and enable them to develop problem-solving skills
Have the ability to take responsibility for the development and day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
Have excellent communication skills, a positive outlook and a good sense of humour
Have the ability to work creatively and collaboratively as a dynamic member of the Abbeyfields Senior Leadership Team in ensuring the smooth running and strategic leadership of the school
Actively lead our approach and commitment to a strong culture of safeguarding
Be committed to working in close partnership with parents and carers
Be ambitious and committed to professional development
Take pride in keeping up to date with current educational research
